1. Fetch the URL
TM2 requests the public page and records the HTTP status, final URL, response headers, and raw HTML.
2. Extract signals
The scanner reviews metadata, headings, links, images, structured data, robots rules, sitemap availability, and security headers.
3. Build an action plan
Findings are grouped by priority so users can start with critical and high-impact improvements first.
What TM2 does not claim to do
TM2 is designed to stay lightweight and honest. It does not perform backlink analysis, traffic estimation, keyword ranking tracking, Google Search Console analysis, login-based scanning, or full enterprise crawling.
If a website blocks raw fetch requests, uses heavy JavaScript rendering, or returns a tiny/temporary response, TM2 may show a scan-limited message instead of a false failing grade.
